Join me on the path towards Easter, 40 days starting today. Lent is a time of anticipation, different priorities and sober shades. To refrain something – fasting – in order to gain something else. I will try to slow down a little bit. A time for reflexion with the opportunity of looking upon ourselves and our community, where am I and where are we heading? What is important today and what is less significant? A time to set things right or at least turn the clock a little bit. Thinking about what really matters I constantly think of the foundation, that is the same no matter circumstances. The Rock that never changes. If you wonder, I am a nondenominational Christian believer who appreciate different spiritualities and expressions, from the Lutheran to the Catholic churches.

One of the saints of Europe is heliga Birgitta of Vadstena. She shared her visions with the rulers and powerful, even the pope, with a message of returning to the love of God and away from the hunger of greed and power. Her voice is to be echoed in this time. She bravely pushed for the ones with power to repent and be truthful.
